The story
A major water landscape
Charvak is a large reservoir at the meeting of mountain river valleys north-east of Tashkent. Its shore is divided among settlements, recreation areas and infrastructure rather than forming one continuous public beach.
Engineered and natural context
The reservoir is modern infrastructure set within the western Tian Shan landscape. Its scenic value does not make every shore accessible or safe.
Choose a named access point
Boat trips, swimming and accommodation depend on particular operators and locations. The map point is a broad planning anchor, not a guarantee of public access or water activity.
A regional connector
Charvak links Chimgan, Khodjikent and the approaches to Bostanliq’s upper valleys, but it remains a distinct water destination rather than another name for the whole mountain region.
Why it matters
Visit Charvak Reservoir to understand a distinct layer of Tashkent and its region.
