The story
A defined national park
Official environmental information places the national natural park across Zaamin and Bakhmal districts on the northern slope of the Turkestan Range. It is a protected area, not a generic name for every mountain around Zaamin.
Mountain ecosystems
The park spans strong elevation changes, valleys and juniper-dominated mountain habitats. Official sources document diverse plants and animals, but a visit cannot guarantee wildlife sightings.
Visitor zones and protection
Some areas support ecotourism and recreation, while protected-area management can limit movement. National-park status must not be interpreted as unrestricted access to every valley or ridge.
Plan a named destination
Confirm the current entrance, permitted visitor area, weather and transport plan locally. This page uses a planning anchor for the park rather than claiming that one point represents its entire boundary.
Why it matters
It is Jizzakh Region’s principal organised mountain destination and the clearest visitor gateway to the landscapes of the Turkestan Range.
Highlights

Practical notes
Confirm the current park entrance, permitted routes and seasonal conditions locally. Bring mountain-appropriate clothing and water, and do not assume that protected or high-elevation zones are open.
